I went into this book knowing I had loved the first one so chances were I was going to love this one too. However, as I started reading, I began to worry that all the things I loved about Josh’s personality were gone. Luckily, that wasn’t the case and I suppose it was all part of the plot. Well played.

For a short novella, there certainly was plenty of action. I absolutely love the way the author narrates the competitions! I feel the same kind of excitement reading those scenes as I do when I watch the competitions myself. I also had no idea what the outcome would be so I guess that just adds to the thrill of it all.

Josh and Courtney are so great together but I must say that in this novella, Courtney was my favorite. She was so patient and devoted to Josh. I can’t wait to find out how their story ends in the last installment.
